About this scheduled Safeguarding course
Advanced Safeguarding Training (for DSLs and Deputies)
This CPD accredited 5-hour course equips DSLs and their deputies to fulfil their role in line with statutory guidance and gives practical tips to Safeguarding Leads for their settings.
This course provides Designated Safeguarding Leads and Deputies with the knowledge to understand the following:
- Key safeguarding definitions, legislation, roles and responsibilities
- Indicators of and responding to safeguarding concerns, including harmful sexual behaviours
- Updates within KCSIE 2022 and 2023
- Responding to disclosures and working with other agencies
- Creating a culture of vigilance
- Safeguarding Practice Reviews (previously known as Serious Case Reviews)
Assessment
Attendees will be required to pass a short multiple-choice test

Cost
- The course costs £120.00 + VAT for Judicium Safeguarding Clients and £199.00 + VAT for non-Judicium Safeguarding Clients
