About this Health & Safety course

Course Overview:

The course helps employees to work safely with Display Screen Equipment and provides access to a DSE assessment form.

Intended Outcomes:

This course provides the learner with an awareness of the health risks associated with DSE.  It teaches the learner how their work area should be set up to minimise the chances of developing health or musculoskeletal problems.

The course provides knowledge and understanding of using DSE including:

  • What constitutes DSE
  • Identifying the hazards when using DSE
  • Instructing the user how to set-up a DSE workstation
  • Completing a DSE assessment.

Who is it for:

All Display Screen Equipment users, especially those who use equipment for more than 1 hour continuously.

Duration:

30 - 45 minutes

The Cost:

This course is available as part of our eLearning annual licence which includes unlimited access to the full Health and Safety eLearning Library for £1,385 plus VAT per annum.

Alternatively, if your school subscribes to our annual Health and Safety Support Service, you will receive access to our entire health and safety eLearning library at no extra cost.

Assessment:

To successfully complete the course, learners will be required to pass a short assessment.

CPD:

Upon successful completion of the course learners will be issued a CPD accredited certificate to download. The course equates to 1 hour of CPD.
